WASTE CHARACTERIZATION

Learn How To Dispose Of Your Waste

Waste characterization is the examination process of wastes to test for characteristics or constituents of concern for determining the proper means and manner of transportation and disposal within regulatory guidelines.

Tests

PDC Laboratories' analytical methodologies are designed to determine the four regulatory characteristics of hazardous waste: Ignitability (D001), Corrosivity (D002), Reactivity (D003) and Toxicity (D004-043). These tests can include Metals, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds (SVOCs), Pesticides, Herbicides and Cresols, flashpoint, cyanide, sulfide, and pH.

State regulatory agencies and other disposal companies may require additional constituent analysis before accepting a waste. PDC Labs is capable of most analysis as it relates to these requirements.
